A letter from one of our clients, Tim O'Connor:
I just wanted to thank you for all of the help you gave me during my 8 week stay at the wonderful program you have put together at RLFH (Real Life Fitness and Health). Attending the program is one of the best decisions I have ever made.
As you know, I am 55 years old and weighed 271 pounds when I arrived in Utah. I was a corporate vice president who traveled for my job with plenty of late night business dinners and little time for exercise. I was being treated for high blood pressure, diagnosed as diabetic, had degenerative disc disease, sore knees and high liver enzymes due to a "fatty liver." I didn't make it through 10 minutes of the first boot camp due to a sore lower back.
In my 8th week at RLFH I could get through 100% of the activities and actually did triathlons three days in row. I lost a total of 54 pounds and over 10% body fat. I got off my blood pressure medicine after my third day and have been off ever since. My glucose is now 85, my triglycerides are 72, my resting heart rate is in the low 60's, and my cholesterol is 163. I feel great and my back and knees are feeling much better.
I highly recommend your program to anyone who is thinking about it. Even a couple weeks will give a great lesson in how to eat and exercise properly in order to get healthy especially with the follow up program you provide. The extremely knowledgeable and caring staff can help work around almost all physical issues a client may have. I chose RLFH over other programs because it was one of the few programs that I found that was medically supervised and was based on a sound diet and old fashioned hard work. There were no gimmicks or weird diet schemes like some other health camps. Although some people may find the program expensive, I found that it was an excellent value for what I received. I know that I have added 20 years to my life, and I feel so much better it is indescribable. Like one of your other clients said, you can spend the same money and go on a cruise and gain 10 pounds or come to RLFH and get healthy.

My new life began on July 19, 2009. I entered Real Life Fitness and Health a stressed out woman, worried about my weight and the very real possibility of becoming permanently disabled. After many tears of uncertainty, anxiety, and sadness, it became necessary for a life change.
Internet research and personable, approachable customer service led me to believe this was the right place for me at this time. My feelings were confirmed immediately upon arrival, and continued. While my original scheduled stay was eight weeks, I felt it imperative I finish this chapter of my journey and extended my stay two additional weeks.
Physical Activity: The program was structured, yet also flexible to meet my personal needs and changed as I became stronger and more fit. Each day, I found myself being able to do a little bit more, which helped me stay focused and encouraged to continue each day. I now have the tools to finish my journey at home with my family and their extreme support.
Food: I used to have headaches, acid reflux, and afternoon fatigue that I thought needed to be cured with caffeine and large meals. While at the retreat, I omitted the caffeine and ate appropriately portioned foods, prepared healthily, and have not since experienced one of my previous aliments. My energy level is ten million more times what it was, my skin is clean and healthy, and even moreundefinedmy heart and soul are happy and fulfilled.
While sizes are just numbers, it is a wonderful experience to have witnessed my clothes falling off…from size 16/18 to size 8.

As a child and growing up I was an athlete and always active. As an adult I was also very active. I was a Police Officer for eight years and then after various medical issues and two back surgeries in December 2009, I found myself the heaviest I have ever been. I was depressed, embarrassed, couldn't sleep, and just felt miserable. I had no hope. I was shocked at the realization I had let my life get so out of control. I searched the internet for months and the end of December 2009, I called Real Life Fitness and Health. I wanted a program that would take care of everything so all I had to focus on was me.
I arrived January 3, 2010, and my life has changed forever. Originally, I was planning on being here 5 weeks. I just completed my 4th month. It has been as tough mentally as physically but I am so pleased. The training and support from the staff and the support from other clients has helped me push through the tough times. I have lost just under 60 pounds. I have dropped 40% of my body fat weight. I have lost -8.5 inches off my hips, -11.25 inches off my abdomen, -10.9 inches off each thigh and -2.5 off my biceps. When I arrived in January, I was 100 pounds overweight and could not complete a boot camp and could only walk on the treadmill. Now I am running every day! My best run so far is 9 miles, and I will reach my 12 mile goal soon.
I am continuing my journey towards losing 100 pounds. There is no doubt I will accomplish this goal. I now have the skills to live a healthy and very happy life. There is hope...one day at a time...one step at a time...
I saw this quote recently and found it fitting to my life: "Do not merely exist in this world...L I V E !" And that is exactly what I am now doing...

This has been the BEST summer of my life. When I arrived in June, I was in a place of darknessundefinednot only sapped of vitality physically, but also emotionally drained, and spiritually sputtering. This experience, which began as a mere escape from stress and chaos of New York life became something far greater. It became a journey of hope, optimism, courage, inspiration, and spiritual renewal…and not merely because of the countless hours of grueling physical exercise.

I was a very active person for most of my life. However, for the last 10 years, I started gaining weight and being less active. It was a cycle that led me down a dark road to high blood pressure medicine and other ailments. I realized I had to change something.

My name is Michael (Dr."Z") Zweifler. Over my 27 year career as a general dentist, the slow gain of a pound or two a year finally caught up with me. I tried every form of "quick fix" dieting to no avail. I became embarrased that as a member of the health care profession I'd become overweight and unhealthy, so much so that I finally was FED UP. My blood pressure was high, energy level low and I was downright depressed!...just getting up off the floor resembled a beached whale flopping back toward sea. I don't know if it was desperation or divine intervention, but I googled "weight loss boot camps" and low and behold Real Life Fitness popped up. After a lengthy discussion with Christy Timothy, an agent of the company, I took the plunge and signed on for a three-week commitment. By essentially doing the day schedule the best I could, I lost 21 POUNDS in 21 DAYS!...the three-week plan was so ALL inclusive that I never took my wallet out of my pocket the ENTIRE time. The program offered everything I needed and more. Over the time, I learned all the essentials to be my own personal trainer AND my own nutrition expert!!...I don't think there is another program that exists that is so COMPLETE and effective. The daily meals and snacks were all freshly prepared and I was NEVER hungry, yet I was burning in excess of 5,000+ calories a day!...Upon my return home, I've lost an additional 4 POUNDS in the last two days, and within 3-4 weeks will be back at my ideal "fit" weight according to my physician...Oh, by the way, he's already taken me off my beta-blocker and the horrific side affects are gone. WARNING: this program is INTENSE, the training and support staff are world class....You MUST make ALL classes (including 5:30 a.m. boot camp..uuuggghh!!) or the results I enjoyed won't be realized. If anyone doesn't get the results similar to mine, it's because THEY did not comply with the regimen. I wish you the best and pray that you make the commitment...you won't regret it!
